Our Mission
What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy focuses on helping children and adults return to their daily activities,
such as bathing and dressing tasks, due to an injury, disability, or illness, restore upper body
strength and coordination, pain management, and all the necessary body skills and
functions to return to meaningful tasks, home, school, and work.
Occupational therapy provides client-centered treatments to patients with an emphasis on
safety, individualized modifications, compensatory techniques, evidence-based research,
and education.
EnhanceOT, PLLC is committed to promoting functional wellness to make a
positive impact on the lives of our patients through telehealth (online) services.
EnhanceOT, PLLC was founded in 2021 by Dr. India Cox, OTD, OTR\L, MSOT to serve, advocate, and provide occupational therapy services to children, adults, and older adults to enhance their overall function to return to meaningful activities, school, play, and work.
Dr. Cox's passion focuses on stroke rehabilitation, fall prevention, restoring upper extremity strength, range of motion, and sensory integration therapy for children and adults. She is a proud doctoral graduate from Baylor University in Waco, TX, serves as the Educator and Research Cochair on the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Assoication Board, past Keynote Speaker for the occupational therapy Graduating Class of 2025 at Winston Salem State University, and was awarded the "Shine Bright" Award for Excellence from Baylor University for letting passion for excellence shine through the provision of exceptional client service during her Capstone Experience.
